Forsyth Park

The Village’s primary and largest park is Forsyth Park, which includes over 75 acres of trails, playgrounds and activities. Some of the park's features include pavilions (reservations required) with grills, picnic tables and electricity. There are multiple play structures, an 18-hole disc golf course, a sand volleyball court, independent and shared tennis and pickleball courts, and four softball/baseball fields.

Forsyth Park has four separate off-street parking areas, wooded and open bike path areas and walking trails, two fishing ponds and a wildlife observation stand. The park features wooded areas along with spacious areas of open field. The park is ADA accessible and contains public restrooms, rest stop benches, and water fountains.   

Summer Park hours are from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Pocket Parks

Throughout the Village of Forsyth you will find six small neighborhood parks that are often referred to as "Pocket Parks." These small parks feature playground equipment, a small gazebo and some open green space that allow for a variety of recreation. To find the nearest Pocket Park to you, click HERE

Facility Rental

Pavilions 

The Village of Forsyth has the large and small pavilion at Forsyth Park available for rent and each can accommodate a variety of different groups. There are no reservation fees or time restrictions for reserving as long it is within the park's standard operating time from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. 

To reserve a pavilion, please fill out the application and submit it to info@forsyth-il.gov or bring it to Village Hall at 301 South Route 51. 

Athletic Fields 

The Village also offers the use of the park's soccer fields, baseball diamonds, batting cages, and tennis courts. To reserve one of the Village’s six soccer fields (Oakland, West Forsyth Parkway, Eagle Ridge, Village Hall or West Weaver), please call Village Hall at (217) 877-9445. 

Disc Golf 

The Village of Forsyth is home to one of the premier disc golf courses in Central Illinois. Located at Forsyth Park, the course includes 18 holes and is designed to accommodate beginners and experienced players. The Course provides players with 5 alternate holes for those players with a more advanced skill level and also includes an alternate tee box for hole 13 for those players unsure of playing around the pond in Forsyth Park.
